1) The coating machine is designed for precise coating application to both
sides of the passing strip by forward or reverse coating methods.
2) One coating stations(top coating :1 station) complete with drive
arrangements are provided. Applicator, pick-up rolls, metering roll are
carried in antifriction bearings mounted in split bearing blocks to reduce.
3) The top coating stations are mounted on slides and actuated by
hydraulic for station retract during splice passage.
4) Coating station will be provided with a paint pan. The pan is scissor lift
mounted and actuated by screw jack. The paint pan is designed for use
with re-circulating paint system.
5) Each pick-up roll, applicator roll, metering roll will be driven by individual
ball joint type drive shafts and AC vector motor. All motors will be located
outside of coater room.
6) Hand wheels will be used to adjust the "nip" of the coater rolls through a
jack screw system and slides on each side of the coater.
During joining point passage in the coater, lift roll will be up and bottom
Coating will not be done to protect the roll surface.
7) Safety bar will be provided for emergency coater roll stop when operator
touches that bar in dangerous case.
8) For easy connecting and disconnecting, slit hole will be made in ball joint
boss. If operator release some bolt, coater roll & ball joint can be easily
connected and disconnected.
